Communities across Jamaica are reeling in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, which swept through the island this week as a Category 5 hurricane, leaving many people homeless. 

From the ground, chaos reigned across Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa as residents emerged from the storm to find their communities shattered, their homes lying in ruins, and the streets awash in mud, debris, and dangling power lines. The scenery is heartrending to witness. The cries echo through the streets as mothers wail about where they will place their children. 

We are seeking assistance to meet the needs of those affected. This can include volunteers to help, materials for building homes, or financial support. Any form of contribution will be greatly appreciated.

We are called to be Jesus hands and feet, aiding and caring for the less fortunate. The Lord said, “Whatever you have done to the least of these, you have done it unto me.” Many countries don’t have the privilege of having the kind of programs that we have here in America and lack the necessary basic resources.

We cannot do it alone, so we hope and pray that others will join us.
